WARDOGS Pilot guide: XP, levels and unlocks
How the Pilot class plays, how it levels up, everything it unlocks and the XP each level takes. Pilot goes from level 0 to 100; level 20 alone takes 250,000 XP.
How Pilot plays
The fastest way into the fight. Pilots fly squads and supplies straight to the zone and bring firepower from the air, with the risk that one rocket takes down a helicopter full of teammates.
Starting out: Learn to fly in the practice range first: take off, hover, turn, stop and land until it's the same every time. Check your controls and sensitivity while you're there.
A typical Pilot match
- Take a helicopter from HQ with passengers, a supply pallet or a crate.
- Decide where you'll land and how you'll leave before you get there, then come in low and put down where the squad can reach cover quickly.
- Drop supply pallets in the zone or at a FOB; they're among the best-paying jobs in the game.
- Head straight back for the next load. Every passenger you drop pays, and pays more if they survive.

Pilot tips
- Abandon a bad landing early and go round again; a crash costs the helicopter and everyone in it.
- Pallet and crate runs can pay Support XP as well as Pilot XP.
- Kills from the air count toward Pilot.
Your first Pilot match
- Aim for: Fly a clean take-off, approach, landing and departure.
- Avoid: Learning to fly with a full squad on board, under fire.

Pallet and crate runs can also pay Support XP. Destroying structures from the air pays Pilot XP; no figure yet.
