WD Stats API

A free, read-only JSON API for WARDOGS stats: leaderboards, public player profiles, seasons, community servers and Bulkhead’s patch notes, for Discord bots, stream overlays and fan sites. Every request needs a key, which you make on your account page.

Getting started

Base URL: https://wdstats.co.uk/api/v1. Send your key as Authorization: Bearer wds_…. The full list of endpoints is in the OpenAPI document.

Keys and limits

  • 120 requests a minute per key, 30 at a time. Too many gets a 429 with Retry-After.
  • Up to 3 keys per account. A bad or revoked key gets a 401.
  • Answers are cached for a minute.

Endpoints

  • GET /status: the live season, ranked players and when ranks were last worked out
  • GET /seasons: every season, when it started, its players, live or final
  • GET /seasons/{n}/payout: what the game paid in gold bars for a season’s leftover cash
  • GET /boards: every leaderboard’s id, name and value
  • GET /boards/{board}: a page of a leaderboard, for the live season or a finished one
  • GET /players/{key}: a public player: level, XP, unlocks, wallet, classes and their rank on every board
  • GET /players/{key}/seasons: a player’s totals season by season
  • GET /players/{key}/history: a player’s XP and level, one point a day
  • GET /players/{key}/combat: a player’s community-server totals
  • GET /players/{key}/matches: a player’s latest community matches
  • GET /movers: this week’s biggest climbers
  • GET /milestones: the latest milestones, by player
  • GET /community/leaderboard: the community-server leaderboard
  • GET /community/servers: connected community servers
  • GET /community/servers/{id}: one community server and its top players
  • GET /patch-notes: Bulkhead’s announcements: titles and links

Images and widgets

Share cards (/card/{key}.png, /card/top/{board}.png), banners and stream widgets need no key.

How fresh it is

A player’s stats update about every hour while they’re signed in to WD Stats and their game session is active. Ranks are worked out about once a minute.

Errors

Errors are problem details (application/problem+json) with a status, a title and a plain-English detail.

Terms

  1. Credit us: wherever you show the data, show “Data from WD Stats” linking to wdstats.co.uk or the player’s profile.
  2. Keep it fresh: don’t keep player data for more than 24 hours without fetching it again, and remove a player who stops being returned.
  3. No copies of the site: don’t mirror boards or profiles in bulk, and don’t resell the data or charge for access to it.
  4. Don’t pretend: don’t present it as official WARDOGS or Bulkhead data, or your app as WD Stats.
  5. Be decent with it: don’t use it to harass or track players, or combine it with other data to identify them.
  6. One key per app: don’t spread requests over keys or addresses to get past the limits.
  7. We can change things: we can change the API, lower limits, or revoke a key that breaks these terms. It’s free and offered as is.

Changes

New fields and endpoints are added to v1 as they come. Anything that would break an app comes as a v2, with v1 kept running for at least three months.
